What is ASC?

In autism sensory information can be experienced in both Hypersensitivity (over-responsiveness) and Hyposensitivity (under-responsiveness). 

Bright lights, loud noises, or unfamiliar situations can be overwhelming, stressful, or uncomfortable for autistic individuals.

Autistic individuals may find it hard to communicate and interact with others.


They can struggle to understand how other people think or feel. These difficulties can delay the processing of information (for some individuals it may even take longer).

The most prominent feature of autism are the difficulties with social interaction. 


Autistic individuals might find it hard to make connections or will prefer to be entirely alone. Many autistics can appear blunt, rude or disinterested in others without intending to be so.
